In a bizarre collaboration that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official release, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Content

Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
